I finally figured out how to upload from the Editor to reply to a news
group posting.  I have to reduce the Character Send Pace to about 5% then
my lines will upload SLOWLY to the newsgroup reply.  It must have
something to do with the timing on the receiving end.  Now I just Command
A or block the text I want to send, then Command D to send.
 
If someone knows of a faster way to upload from the Editor, I'd sure
appreciate knowing about it!
 
But I have one further question.
 
How can I change the DEFAULT value of Character Send Pace % in the SEND
ASCII button block?
