Re: System beep ignored?

Ok, there is also an init called bell that changes the system beep to a bell
that doesn't lock out interrupts. It's on the umich ftp sight under
apple2/gs/gsos/init/irq.bell.bsq (which is the wrong extension since it is a
PIF.) Anyhow, it works both under ProDOS 8 and gsos. Also, I don't think the
rsound ever gets unloaded because if I quit from a ProDOS 8 application and
don't put my system disk online, the "Please insert the disk" dialog pops up
and I can at that point generate the custom beep by pressing a wrong key. My
question is could the "bell vector" be set up to point to the rsound under
ProDOS 8 since it is still somewhere in RAM?
