Some years ago, people at Apple Germany wanted to do just that, but
Apple did not permit it. Apple has a copyright on the ROM code, so you
can not use it without permission.
Has anyone a listing of the 4K Basic? I am not sure there was a offical
listing.
Then there is the problem of finding the chips.
I found some 4K dynamic RAMs and some 1K shifters, but not
the 2519 Chip, 40 Bytes static shifter.
To make a new batch of boards legally you would have to redesign the
Video circuit, substitute 16K RAMs and rewrite the ROM code, all 256
Bytes :-)
