I recognize that my problem was different, but, when I first got a RamFAST,
it would take about 20 minutes before I could boot successfully.  It
finally turned out to be an apparent temperature sensitivity on the RamFAST
card (timing shift?); getting a new card did the trick.

If the supply voltages are okay (if you check, use all appropriate care not
to damage your GS), you might try booting from floppy and then booting
without the ZipGS to see if you can isolate it to the RamFAST or to the
ZipGS.

In other words, if it's not a voltage problem, I'd suspect some sort of
warm-up problem.
