Public Apology (was Re: CD of all Files on Asimov)

I hereby publicly apologize for any rudeness, impropriety, or lack
of manners or taste that may have been evidenced in any of my
previous postings on this subject.  While argument and zealous
advocacy may advance ideas, poor manners do not, and I am sorry
for any personal remarks I may have made.

I continue to hold the same views that I advocated previously.
However, I have become uncertain whether other postings to these
groups are real expressions of deeply held views, or simply persons
having "fun" by arguing, very much like talk radio.

I have reached the conclusion that those posters who confine themselves
to helping others with the technical questions posed in these groups
are on a plane higher than the rest of us, and we could all learn from
them.  I hope that I can provide help to others on occasion, and 
certainly will continue to appreciate the excellent help I have received
in the past.
