In -general- tthe only difference between the AE 800k drives and the
AEHD drives is a small 8 pin serial PROM chip, which is socketed
on the daisy chain board in the drive case. (Xilinx X2444P)
There are some 800k drives that can NOT be upgraded to HD by changing
this ROM, but most can be. (Obviously the ROM has to first be
programmed properly... only route I know of is to bootleg a real
AEHD rom... which no sane person would -reccomend- doing)
