: Yep, this is a bug in Shellplay. There's a solution to this
: problem: Load the MOD file in Beatbox and save it again. Shellplay
: will then be able to load the MOD file.

: No. The "problem" you describe is a _feature_ of the song, which
: is achieved using effects. NoiseTracker doesn't support most
: effects at all, therefore the difference in playback compared to
: Shellplay. Btw, because of this fact NoiseTracker isn't suitable
: for playing back any (ProTracker) MOD files!

If you'd like, I can post one of the "problem" mods -- Secret.mod,
in which the voice samples sound background to the rest of the
music, when played with Deskplay.
This is, of course, compared to both NTGS and the actual recorded
song, which the mod is intended to emulate.

: We have had no problems with Twilight II, the GS screensaver of
: choice, at all. So maybe the source of the problem is not
: Deskplay, but Phantasm. Phantasm has some severe bugs (which I
: forgot) that can cause your system to crash - I'd use Twilight II
: if I were you!
:
This does not happen with any other application or desk accessory --
only with Deskplay. Yes, it may be Phantasm's fault, but why does
this problem only crop up with Deskplay?
