For the longest time I was happily reading my 1.44 MS-DOS formatted disks
with my GS using the HD floppy controller and my AE HD drives, with the
Sys 6.01 translator. So someone at work gets the brilliant idea to
'upgrade' to Win95, and now my GS can't see my disks. Not just the new
ones that I format with Win 95, but even older ones, once Win95 has
'seen' them. The GS seems to look at the floppy, but it does not appear
on the desktop. It does not say it can't read the disk, it just tries to
read it and then the access light goes out, end of story. The disk has
to be manually ejected. Win95 seems to change something on the disk, I
guess to allow the extended file names to be written or something.
So I figure I should report this to Cupertino so they can address this in
the next release of GS/OS ;-)
