If they don't already have a PC, then most of the web would be way
too technical and computer oriented for them. [Artist (i.e. total
non-geek) working next to me at work who got on the www two weeks ago
had precisely that comment.]
The only parts of the www they'll find interesting are the adult
sections, and for the $500 cost of the proposed WWW browsers (street
price more likely like $300), and $19.95 or more per month for
internet access, I would think that it'd probably be much cheaper to
get subscriptions to a lot of adult magazines.
The WWW right now is not like the world's greatest library as some
would like you to believe. A decent local library will have a lot more
information, and far better organized. [Another guy at work said that
the www is like the results of throwing a pipe bomb into a computer
bookstore.]
