If the purpose of this post is to garner "winner" votes for Apple,
Inc., you may have come to the wrong place. Last Friday, Apple stock was
fixing to crack the $19 barrier. Unless the company delivers a Big Time
marketing coup this Fall (such as a new Super Apple II) Apple will be
lucky to hold prices above $15.
It would be unnecessarily mean-spirited to bother casting a "loser"
vote. Still, by what objective criteria can one say Apple has been a
winner in 1996?

Are you so sure you want to encourage Apple in its current course? If
the company does not do _something_ soon ... . Well, as the British would
say, Apple, Inc could become a for-real 'loo-ser' in 1997!
