        LIRON?  That was one of the fab shops for Apple.  Matter of fact,
ALL UniDisk 3.5 drives I've seen had Liron boards in them.

        Bet it was a prototype.  When I worked at Shreve Systems, we saw
all KINDS of weird stuff come through ...

        That makes sense.  The CPU board for a UniDisk 3.5 has the spots
for the extra connectors for a SECOND drive.
