Gee, Tony, you were doing pretty well up until that point. :-) Yes, you
*can* create disk images with the Option Board. In either TC.EXE or
TCM.EXE, if you specify a hard drive as the destination, a window will pop
up and ask you for an image name. The only problem is that this image may
not be directly usable with the emulators -- it will probably require extra
processing before it becomes something useful. I haven't gotten to
experiment with this much yet, but I'm sure that in order to make an image,
you'll need a 360K drive (not a 1.2, since the heads are too narrow).
Then there's also the problem of copying the back side of disks. I'm not
sure the solution's been found to that one yet. Cutting new timing holes,
using "naked" disks, or transplanting disks don't strike me as good
solutions -- the only good, safe thing I can think of is using an Apple
to copy a disk to a temp, and use the front side of the temp to make all
the images. Christopher Bachman had been experimenting with this, but I've
lost his address and I haven't seen him post in quite a while. Methinks I'
ll be scrounging through Deja News for more info. . . .

Please give careful consideration to where you post it -- keep it in a
binaries-only group, if there is one. Otherwise, upload it to
ftp.asimov.net and let us all know that it's there. Please don't post large
files and binaries to discussion groups!

IMHO, I never thought the OB manual was all that well-written anyway. :-/
