NONE of the old computers out there are worth anywhere close to those
amounts (none of the new ones are worth that much either) with the exception of
the Apple 1 board, which has fetched some big $$ (I'm still looking for one
myself). Kip Krosby of the CHAC recently posted his guesses on the $$ value of
several old machines. With some coaxing, I bet he'd re-post it. I think he's a
litle high on a few of them, but it's the law of supply and demand. Here in N.
Cal, a lot of the older machines are more plentiful, so that keeps the prices
down locally.
I think your source has added a few zeros to his amounts.. like 3.
There were thousands of Apple IIe's, and like the PC clones, it'll take a HUGE
amount years before they're worth anything.. if ever.
