Universal Disk Controller (Again!)

All right, last time I asked about this thing I got lots of help, and I
want to thank everybody.  But I have a problem maybe you can solve.

When I try to daisychain two 3.5 drives on the number 1 port, the
second doesn't work (not found).  It works on port 2, but of course
no support for the disk eject.

When I daisychain a duodisk behind the 3.5 on port 1, only one drive
(drive 2) works.

When I put the 3.5 on port 1 and the duodisk on port 2, only drive 1
of the duodisk works.

I never can get any remapping, whether in slot 5 or 6.  

Therefore, the only way I can run all four drives is one 3.5 on each
port of the UDC, and the duodisk with its own controller.

What am I doing wrong?  I have switched around drives and cables,
all with the same result.  Help.
