There seem to be two major varieties of these modems: ones that use
the ADB (Apple Desktop Bus-- used for keyboard, mouse, etc) only, and
ones that use the ADB for power, and also plug into the serial port in
the back of the computer. As the ADB and serial ports are quite
different, you can't get a cable to plug one into the other.
If this is an ADB only modem, you're pretty much out of luck on the
GS-- those require special mac drivers to use on a mac, and no GS
versions of those have shown up to my knowledge. If it's one of the
"ADB for power" modems, you should be able to plug it in and work
fine.
