Actually, if you get the program DSK2FILE.SHK, you can turn those
disk images back into real disks (and vice versa).
 
But you have brought out a good point. This is insult on top of
injury, those beamers are stealing from the very Apple community
that they so like to trash.
 
What the emulator authors intended was for the PC user to actually
own a ][+, IIe, or //c. They would "bsave" an image of their ROMs
for the emulator to use. They would convert their disks with the
DSK2FILE or the ADT programs. It is unfortunate that pirate stuff
is mixed in with legitamate emulators on the site.

Agreed. Knowling PC users, they will probably flame us for even
suggesting they get legit.
 
How does one post anonymously? I would volunteer to drop the
guidelines into cea2, but I am not prepared to have my email box
bombarded by angry emulator users.
