AppleWorks 2.1 should work fine on a IIgs - I've used it on my ROM 3 (5 MB).
AppleWorks 2.0 is likely to have problems, because it doesn't cope with
more than 1 MB of RAM (or was it 2 MB?) in a IIgs unless it is patched,
and it does weird things like start up the Desk Manager, which causes
problems if you booted via GS/OS and have any NDAs installed.
AppleWorks 1.3 and earlier don't even know about the IIgs, so they work
fine - it works just like it would on an enhanced 128K IIe. You don't get
any extra memory, of course (unless you are using 1.3 and a standard slot
RAM card).
