I've never seen a filetype note on those Desktop files; they should
be mostly a bunch of rBundles (spelt 'Can of Worms') and other Finder
data structures written out to disk. In order to efficiently and
effectively hunt it down, I really need to be able to reproduce a bug
at will on my system. [It's normal for me to step thru things 10-20
times]. Thus, if you can give me a case where Desktop files are
corrupted, I'd love it. Otherwise, it'd be pretty darn difficult for
me to hunt down effectively.

Best kind of bug report: that one on Teach 6.0.1 and the Choose
Font dialog. The report went something like "Open Teach 601, type a
few characters. Select Choose Font, select 'Plain.' Reboot since your
GS just crashed." Simple, obvious, and 100% reproducable. Very easy
to hunt that kind down.
