The Sams schematics are pretty good for trouble shooting. However, a
schematic for one Apple II model will not help much in repairing a
different model. Except for the Apple II and II+, there are major circuit
changes between models.
If you want a schematic in order to have some general guide to Apple
II functioning, your best bet is to get one of the manuals. The Apple II
Reference has schematics for the II/II+; the Apple IIe Hardware Reference
covers IIe and IIe enhanced. There are similar manuals for the IIc and
IIgs. Besides schematic diagrams, the manuals discuss each sub-system,
list key hardware addresses, etc..
With luck, you may find someone selling a manual on
comp.sys.apple2.marketplace. Or, you can contact Byte Works
(505-898-8183). They stock quite a few Apple manuals.
