Like Nathan said, you need to get an "enhancement" kit for your IIe. It
consists of the 65C02 and an updated set of PROMS. Alltech's a good
source.
You really want this. A IIe without the enhancement kit is just a II+ with
an auxcard slot. Enhancement brings you up to the level of the IIc and (to
a lesser extent) IIgs.
ShrinkIt 3.4 also requires it, and it gives you MouseText characters for
programs that support them (such as Appleworks).
