Try configuring ProTerm so that the only thing that is displayed in
inverse is "reverse."  To do this, go into preferences from the misc
menu and select the "more" button and you will see a section called
"attributes to display in inverse."  As I said, make sure that only
"reverse" is checked and you will be able to tell where you are within Lynx.
