Why won't ShrinkIt recognize my .SHK files?

Help!

I've been trying for days to expand any of a dozen .SHK files on my IIgs.
The files were downloaded on my Mac and then copied onto a ProDOS disk via
the "ProDOS File System" extension. 

I am using UnshrinkIt+ 2.0, and every time I select a ShrinkIt archive, I
get a message telling me that the file is not a NuFX archive. I have tried
converting the file into TEXT, an AppleWorks 2.0 document, etc. but the
error is still the same. What am I doing wrong?
