Re: ProTERM v3.1 verses Inits/DAs

I would like to thank everyone that took the time to reply to my post to
these newsgroups concerning a problem I was having with ProTERM v3.1
loosing characters when run from within GS/OS 6.0.1.

The best response I got was from David Empson (dempson@actrix.gen.nz),
his help was invalueable in determining what the problem was. He is a
valueable resourse to have monitoring these groups.

The problem Init/DA was "EasyAccess", I found and disabled that sucker,
and all of my problems went away. Many thanks for the tip!

I also received information that Twilight II can cause the same problems,
and since I recently picked up a copy (gotta love swap fests), that
information will come in handy.

For those who are wondering, the best way to get around the Twilight II
problem (I'm told), is to tell Twilight II not to blank ProDOS 8
applications.

I also received advice that I should not be using the Zip Control
(Init?), but should be using a different one created by a third party
(sorry, I cannot remember the name right off the top of my head) for my
ZipGS card. I'll have to search that one out and give it a try.

Once again, thanks to all that responded,
