Leaving the csa2
Well... It's sad to say that after 12 years of owning Apple II machines,
I am purchasing an IBM. I will still be using my GS, but since I won't
need nearly as much information about it... I guess it's time for me to
leave CSA2 to the people that wish to destroy it.
I started with CSA in 1989. I remember when people in CSA were
intelligent, polite, and polished. Now I'm sorry to say I've seen what
this group is becoming.
This group went from a lovely gathering place for people who want to
exchange information about their favorite PC to a group where backbiters
and loudmouths have made it impossible to have a decent discussion. This
group isn't about the Apple II any longer, it's about personal grudges,
pirate and cyber-cops, immature children with nothing better to do than
troll.
Sad to say, I don't think any other groups are doing well either, but I
hope that in other groups I will actually see a little bit of the spirit
that kept the Apple II and CSA alive for so long. Don't you all remember
the joy we had when Jawaid told us that the impossible had been done?
Don't you remember the good times that were had on this group?
I received a LOT of information on this group. While our local User's
group was still alive I was able to pass loads of info onto people who
needed it, and didn't have access to the net. The Apple II spirit is dead
to me now. All I see around here are ghosts, moaning over their fate.
Farewell... Thanks to all the people that in the past gave me the
information that I needed to survive with an abandoned machine. Thanks to
Matt D., Jawaid, Nathan, Joe, Dave, and the rest. I'm amazed that the
faith has been kept this long. It's a shame to see the burial of such a
fine group. But at least at this point I'm going out clean, and not
watching the corpse of this group stink and rot.
Good night all...
...Sal
