P.S. It can't be done in the way you are thinking of. There were packages
around (hardware + software) to let a PC read Apple II discs, surely obsolete
and unobtainable now even if they justified the expense.

Other solutions:

- get someone with an Apple II and appropriate serial card and software to
  transfer the files down the wire,

- Go to AL Downloading or some such file transfer service. This used to cost
  about 15 GBP per disc; I don't know the current rates.
