Sorry? What platforms are you speaking of? Maybe the PC, if not the Mac?
All I know is that there is not a single emulator available yet. Please
tell me if I am wrong here.
Charles T. 'Dr. Tom' Turley (gbmaidsf@wco.com) replies:
Jesse and Henrik, I wouldn't say either of you are exactly wrong with
you comments and posts. There are two (2) Mac (stand alone) programs
that are very good IIGS emulators. Neither of them are available for
release to the public - YET! One is for the PowerMac platform only -
(under company/group development). The other is for all the Mac's (68k
and/or PowerMac) GSx or The Hindenberg Project, from Tony Morales. I
have both! There is also an X Windows/Unix IIGS emulator that is under
development and is available to the public, under independent
development from Joshua Thompson (who also happens to be an active team
member of 1WSW) I have that IIGS emulator also. The current public test
release is (v0.25) just made available today - from the official XGS web
site ->
http://www.optera.com/~invid/emulators/XGS/
The fact that Joshua is making the src. codes available as he proceeds
with the XGS development/updates is (IMHO), a very noble thing. The
src. code is in C, thus allowing the emulator to be very portable for
other platforms.
Cheers,
Tom
