I used my Glidepoint all the time until I found my Kensington ORBIT trackball. It is nice that the device sits still and you move the pointer by sliding your finger, or rolling the ball around. Moving the device around the desk takes up so much more space. I believe a friend sent me this Glidepoint for free having no use for it himself. They are hardly a useful //e item I would think.

I see there was a control panel on the mac so that double tapping out click, etc on the glidepoint, so I guess that is out.

Any missing features using the trackball?

You won't get special CDAs or NDAs, or whatever their called, on the IIgs as you might on a Mac, but they are very handy once you get used to them. The trackball works mainly the same as a mouse on the IIgs, for instance, to copy a file, click and roll and drop. I don't really 'RUN' it enough to be very proficient in any certain areas. I just fudge around when I need to use it until I figure things out. 8^) Bill
