   Possibly not in terms of clarity. If you have the March 1988 issue 
of A+ Magazine, open it and turn to page 28. There is a comparison of four
printers, complete with a side-by-side image of the same graphical print 
out. The ImageWriter I and II are included and by far the IW1 has the most
pleasing looking output! The dots that make up the image are slightly more
corse, but there are no line gaps between each pass of the printhead. As
they wrote, the IW2 printout is banded and washed.

   I'd like to try a test myself (since I own both an IW1 and IW2)
though I need to pick up the proper cable so it can be connected to my
IIgs first. :)
