RE:IIGS question
Re: the comment on using RAMDisk as the GSOS boot disk.
I use that regulary when I don't need all my memory for applications. I've
done some careful study to determine a minimum "working" system. I've found
one can make a practical working system, without NDA's, and very limited
fonts, and one print driver on an 800k floppy disk, which can be copied to
an 800k RAMdisk. I have created a full "working system" with a reasonable
number of fonts and NDAs that can be copied to a 1.4 meg RAMdisk.
Each user should consider personal needs, and decide on a system RAMdisk
that best meets a practical need.
This is using system 6.0.1. If you use system 5.0.4, you could get by with
about 100k less with equivalant setup.
