Actually, it made quite a trip. I guess it's first owner lived in Germany, but
I'm not sure about that. I bought it in Delft, Holland from a computer science
student. I hauled it all the way to Bialystok, Poland, where I used to live.
Now I live in Chicago, US, and I still have my BASIS, although all I have left
is the main board, interface card of my own design, floppy controller and two
floppy drives.

Yes, these were modified. They each have two wires attached to the PCB with
a SPDT switch on the other end. Also there is a switch attached to the floppy
drive controller, that shorts switch #4 on the switch block. Depending on
these switches drives are one or two-sided and 40 or 80 tracks.
