Oops... The machine I read my news on ran out of local disk space,
and so I accidentally posted that message without content.
Anyhow... Currently my GS has a RamFAST rev C. in it, the "big" one. I'm
pretty sure it's got the latest ROMs. Is it worth upgrading this thing
to the "little" one? What would the advantages be? I've heard that
I'd need the little one in order to use an 8 meg RAM card. (I've got a
ROM 1 GS, BTW) Speaking of an 8 meg RAM card... Are both the Sirius and
the Sequential one DMA compatable (RamFAST compatable)? On the one hand,
I'd like to get by with my current RamFAST if possible, but on the other
hand I'd like to upgrade my RamFAST to a rev. D for the 1 meg cache and
any other improvements.
I'm actually going to be getting some cash this summer, and I'll probably
spend a bit of it on things that are on my list of GS parts to buy.
Speaking of that list, here it is...
To buy:
A new Soundmeister or a used GS stereo card
Ram-GS/Plus or Sirius w/8 megs
Ramfast rev. D w/1 meg
Second Sight w/1 meg
An upgrade to my Zip GS...
Shiva Fastpath or Cayman Gatorbox to hook my GS to ethernet! ($$$!!!)
Orca C - that new version...
GNO 2.0.6 - I'd like to finally take the plunge, so I can get TCP/IP when
it's available
If you've got any of the hardware that you want to get rid of, let me
know!!! I'd like to buy the software new.
Oh yeah... A real Apple 3.5" drive to replace my ailing AE one
To sell:
1 meg (fully populated) Apple IIgs RAM card, made by Apple.
TWGS that crashes the computer after ~15 minutes. Old GALs.
Vulcan controller card
A box 'o IIe cards. Lots of neat stuff! A couple of Z-80 boards,
a video board, super serial cards, etc.

Wow, looks like this should have really gone to the marketplace group.
Oh well.
