It's quite likely that the ceramic heads could have crashed into each 
other during transport. I would open it up and look for cracks in the 
heads. If they are cracked, then you are in big trouble unless there is a 
supplier of those things somewhere..Or maybe that guy just sent you a 
defective drive.
