The best ones for the IIgs IMHO are the Kensington Turbo Mouse ADB 3.0
models. They have the connectors  on the sides, two buttons only, and
do not rely on software, but rather software is an option.  Since it
does not exist for the IIgs, that means no problems. The 4.0 ones rely
on software to do settings and while they work without it, it's
minimally and they track very slow on the IIgs. Slightly better on the
ROM 3, but still sucky experience wise.

the 4.0 has the two ADB connectors side by side on the rear right, and
the 5.0 has four buttons and is just horrible on the IIgs.
