<sigh> OK, i messed up.  you can't use a real APPLE card, you have to use the
fancy one that i managed to kill (got it second hand).  at least, i think it's s
dead.  i'll check it out, and if it works (even partially), i'll sell it
more than gladly.  of course, first i have to find it... (i think it's in my
//e, which is several miles from here).

curiosity... will the gs smart port run one?  for some reason, i can't
figure out why just "any" 3.5" disk controller won't run it... (oh yes..
firmware.).
