I joined Genie just after the 1994 KFest and have not regretted it.
I use the A2 and A2Pro areas extensively and the new pricing structure
has lowered my costs -- although this isn't true for everyone.
I don't hang out in Real Time Conference (RTC) as much as I use to
but I frequently stop by to say hi and I try to make the Tues evening
RTC in A2Pro (8-bit programming). I also try to scan the Bulletin
Boards once a day to keep up with the volume of messages (I try to
read everything in A2 and A2Pro).

Genie is a family-oriented service (at least the A2 and A2Pro areas)
and they do not tolerate foul language. The sysops do a GREAT job
of keeping people from posting in wrong areas and frequently maintain
the bulletin boards and libraries to ensure that everything is properly
categorized.
The spirit of the A2 and A2Pro community is good and information is
readily shared. Most questions that are posted get answered within
24 hours or less.

Absolutely. Where the Internet is a diamond in the rough, Genie is
finely cut and polished gemstone.
If a person can afford, I feel that both Internet and Genie access
(to A2 and A2Pro) is a worthwhile investment.
