The problem occurs when ProTERM pauses the DL to flush the RAM buffer to disk.
Some hosts will time out while this operation is taking place (our FirstClass
BBS does this, arrrggghhhh). One solution is to use a high speed mass storage
device like a RAM disk or hard drive. With our system I found this speeds up
the flush operation fast enough that the host doesn't time out and ZModem
works fine. As you also found, XModem gets around the problem as well.
