Here are the switch settings for the IW-I:
 
SW-1
 
   1-1     Open
   1-2     Open
   1-3     Open   (American)
   1-4     Open    (PL 66 lines)
   1-5     Closed  (ignores 8th data bit, allowing reception of high ASCII)
   1-6     Closed  Elite
   1-7     Open     Elite
   1-8     Open     No LF after CR
 
SW-2
 
   2-1      Closed
   2-2      Closed     (9600 baud)
   2-3      Open        DTR 
   2-4         not used
