Well, it is not an elegant mansion, but appleII users do have a home.
We have comp.sys.apple2 newsgroups for discussion.  We have comp.binaries.
apple2 for software distribution.  Almost all cba2 post are archived at
ground.isca.uiowa.edu.  Good selected software is also uploaded to ground
and apple2.caltech.edu (temporarily down) and a couple other sites. (See
Neil Parkers occasion posts of major apple2 sites.)

It reaches a wider audience (potentially) than Genie.  Many ISP providers
can be used, not just one as with the online services.

Welcome 'home' to our house.  Just watch out for flame throwers (ignore
them).  Maybe we should invite genie users to upload parts of the genie
file library.  (Would need coordination, so multiple copies of the same
files didn't get uploaded to ground or caltech, and some files are
genie copy-right protected if I am not dreaming, so care needs to exercised
in that respect also.
