Re: AppleWorks on IIe card in Performa
:A friend runs AppleWorks (probably a semi-ancient version) on both a IIe
:and a Performa with a IIe card. He says everything behaves exactly the
:same, except that trying to print justified print from the Performa to an
:ImageWriter doesn't work right. Apparently it prints, but is not
properly
:justified. Does anyone have any experience with a IIe card and AW?
If I'm right, I believe the IIe card uses a Mac driver to send data out to
an Imagewriter if you set it up to have that option. Like their DOS
compatibility card, which will emulate an Epson LQ or PostScript printer
(set up in the PC Print Monitor program). You may want to look in your
manual to see how the printer ports are emulated, and if any drivers take
over (whether or not the data is interpreted by the Mac before going
through the serial port or not).
Hope that helps!
