PizzaFest 96 Report
Ladies and gentlemen,
I'm glad to provide you with some in-depth information on PizzaFest 96, the
only truly giant Apple ][ event.
The public response was stratospheric. PizzaFest was flooded with Apple II
enthusiasts - latest estimations from Marc (who was senior worldwide ticket
sales manager) hint at an all-time high of approx. 4 attendees (+/- 10,000).
Fast Eddie will go on sale this summer for $890.00, all cables included. Fast
Eddie is our 1st-choice IIGS-on-a-Mac that is compatible with ALL GS software.
And best of all, the Mac software requires only a few hundred kilobytes. As I
said in the announcement, Fast Eddie has been tested thoroughly with Wumpus,
Tic-Tac-Toe and Animals.
Cody's virtual programs will also be available this summer to selected
end-users. These fine software (stress on soft) components run in cyberspace
and exist only in your imagination. They don't crash, they don't even need a
working IIGS. If your brain does not support this level of imagination, ask for
part #546LSD.
Arni Schwarzenegger reported serious problems. The total recall of a broken
hard disk (model T-1000) ended in a fiasco. However, "rat" and "shadow" soon
found the real cause of the problems - SCSI voodoo! Upon connecting an active
SCSI terminator, the disk resumed operation. The complete video of how to
connect a terminator is available from Arni.
Please order item "Terminator ][".
Marc's 40Mhz IIGS show was the hot item of the day. There was enough raw power
for baking 1 pizza calzone, 2 Quadra stagioni, and 1 prosciuto e funghi. Marc
"Pascal is kewl" said that only he and a few Pentium engineers can manage this
level of excessive heat.
Order item "Heat".
As with PizzaFest 95 and 95/2, PizzaFest 96 was a great happening - it showed
that the Apple ][ community still counts 4 members or more.
