AutoArk deficient

I have been using AutoArc by Econ Technologies to archive some files on my
harddrive. I encoded them with a password. It was easy. I just pointed
to the folder and all enclosed files were encrypted with the same password.

Now i have regretfully discovered that if i point to a folder and tell
AutoArc to decrypt it asks me for the password of *each* file, even
though they all have the same password. I must type the password dozens
or hundreds of times and sit there while it works.

This seems to me to be pretty poor software engineering, not to mention
stupid. Am i missing something?

It is also annoying that if i click on a file it expands it then promptly
recompresses it again without handing it to the appropriate application.
What's the point?

Anybody else own this thing?

Anybody know the email address of this company?

 terry.
