As Auri says, the current version number is 2.0.1. In my review for
GSWV, I showed it as "2.1", an error. A corrected, modified version of the
Platinum Paint 2.0.1 review has been sent to Charles. (One of the neat
things about an on-line magazine is that screw-ups can be repaired even
_after_ publication.) Thanks for asking the "2.1" question!
Concerning the 2.0-to-2.0.1 upgrade: this is one of those 'squeaky
wheel' deals. When calling Scantron QC to request the 2.0.1 diskette, the
user should point out that he/she has paid for Version 2 and is willing to
send in the original diskette. If one is polite and persistent, SQC may
well send out the upgrade diskette.
Since you've already sent in your money and gotten the diskette, just
requesting a refund may fix things-- after all, you ordered "2.1". An
alternative is to offer to accept the refund as "SQC credit" or in the
form of some specific software package. The company is more likely to go
along with this and you will still end up with the 2.0.1 diskette.
