3.5" + 5.25" drives?

I have a IIe with 5.25" drives. Is it possible to replace one of these
with a 3.5" drive?  (While keeping the same controller card?).

Also, do 3.5" drives work only with ProDOS? (cf DOS 3.3). And where
would you buy one?
