Questions about HDs on //e

Hey all-

I've been thinking about getting a hard drive for my Apple //e.
I was thinking about going the SCSI route and was wondering what
type/brand of cards are best suited for the task at hand and what
sort of drive works with the SCSI.  Can I use drives like the 
ones used in the earlier IBMs/clones?  I just really need enough
information to get me going and any help would be appreciated.

I would also like any information on other type of setups as well.
What are some other options besides SCSI?
