Using the Hardware Forum on the old AOL, I've been using three
AA's as a battery backup. Three AA's give 4.5 V which I think is
closer to spec. I use a Radio Shack battery holder. I'd suggest getting
the Lithium Grease freeware to save your Control Panel settings.
