If this helps : I am using the same cable that came with my
Zoom 96/24 FaxModem...
Also, if the modem is "cold" it'll whip along fine online, but
after an hour or less, especially at speeds faster tha 9600, it'll
start acting eratically. Refusing to hang up, etc. Freezing.
Maybe the cable is getting overloaded???

PS - I'll restate... my modem is a 19.2kbps galaxy voyager and when it flies it
flies.
