The technology you mention has changed names a number of times. The final
standard was finalized just a few months ago. Both IBM and Apple will be
releasing machines conforming to this new standard. These machines will
not always have the Mac ROMs in them (the Apple version may contain Mac
ROMs). The new version of MacOS works on a IBM made prototype of this new
machine - and works well!

In the context of your message, you may be refering to the come back of
the Amiga. A company in Europe has bought what was left of the machine
since Commadore disappeared. Next year, this company will be release new
Amiga using this new IBM/Apple/Motorola(sp?) standard.
