Re: Commands on a ][+

Ahah! You're running good ol' DOS 3.3. After booting a DOS 3.3 disk you can
format a new disk by typing "INIT HELLO". Whatever Applesoft program that's
currently in memory will be saved as the HELLO program and launched at boot
time. Sooo, before formatting a disk make sure the program that's currently
in memory is what you want. What I'd suggest is first typing "NEW" to remove
anything currently in memory, then entering a small Applesoft program.
Something simple like...

10 TEXT
20 HOME
30 PRINT "DOS 3.3 APPLESOFT BASIC READY"
40 NEW

Then type INIT HELLO. Lines 10 and 20 probably aren't needed, and line 40 may
have to be 40 PRINT CHR$(4);"NEW", but you get the idea.

To change drives add ",Sm,Dn" to your DOS command. For example,
"CATALOG,S6,D2" will catalog the disk in slot 6 and drive 2. Afterwards all
DOS commands will be directed to this drive until changed again.

For a complete reminder look for a copy of "The Apple II Users Guide" in your
local library.
