I always thought the fluffing the pressure pad was pretty bogus, but
turning the pressure pad a quarter turn will alter the wear pattern on
the pad, which might be useful. 

By the way, that Beagle Bros tip was for curing a SQUEAKY disk drive
after maybe 4 or 5 years or use, not for replacing a word out pressure
pad due to 15 years of use! Good luck!
