Problem with Vulcan hard drive
I have a 40 meg Vulcan hard drive on an apple IIgs. About a year ago it
started to freeze up for no reason, when I tried to reboot it would give
me a message like "please insert the disk AE1"(AE1 is a partition on the
hard drive). I used the special feature in the partition manager ( the
one where you type AE) to search for bad blocks but it would still
freeze up after I was on the computer for a while. I also tried to
reformate it and repartition it. The only way to it to boot was to shut
it off for a few minutes and restart it but it will still freeze up
after a while. After a year it still does the same thing. Does anyone
know anything else I could do to try and fix it?
Thank You
